ClimateActionWR is a collective partnership jointly led by two local non-profits, Reep Green Solutions and Sustainable Waterloo Region, and directly supported and managed by the Cities of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo, as well as the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. Together with community members and local organizations, these partners aim to achieve a community-wide greenhouse gas reduction target of 6% by 2020. Our report: Our Progress, Our Path: An Update on Waterloo Region’s Carbon Footprint was recently released and highlights the progress Waterloo Region has made between 2010 and 2015. ClimateActionWR is now looking to create a more ambitious greenhouse gas reduction target for beyond 2020.
